Yes, we serve both private and commercial farmers.

How do I pack my goods?
It is very important to pack your goods properly. If a shipment is not properly packed, there is a risk it could be damaged and/or damage other goods.

Does Agro4you transport perishable farm produce?
We transport all kinds of farm produce carefully while perishable foods are treated with extra care.

How do I get the price for my shipment?
This will be communicated to you via email, call or a text message.

How much does freight transportation cost?
This will be calculated based on the distance, size and weight of your goods.

How long will transportation by road take?
This depends on the distance and road conditions during the cause of transport.

What is the maximum size and weight of goods that can be shipped?

Farm Credit Facilities
What kind of loans does Agro4you Farm Credit make?
We provide lending and financial services to farmers for agricultural purposes. Types of loans may include:
  • Agricultural processing and marketing activities
  • Construction and improvement of rural utilities
  • Financing and promoting the global exports of products
  • Purchasing land to operate farms
  • Purchasing equipment and building the facilities necessary for the agriculture industry
  • Farm-related businesses

How do I begin the application process?
After speaking with our loan representative, you will receive an application online. To begin the application process we need to receive a completed application and three years of tax returns from borrowers.

What are your interest rates?
Interest rates vary depending on the loan product you choose. Please contact our loan representative to receive our current interest rates.

What collateral is required?
For beginning farmers, we require agricultural property as collateral for your farm loan.
Operating, equipment and livestock loans are generally secured by inventory such as crops, livestock, equipment, receivables or other assets of the operation being financed.

Do you have a minimum loan amount?
We work primarily with established farmers who would want to purchase, refinance and expand their current farm operation. We provide a minimum of ₦50,000 farm loans.

Consultancy
Is Agro4you a registered company?
Yes, Agro4you company is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Can Agro4you help to acquire land?
We can only direct you to where to acquire farmland during consultation, but doesn’t directly acquire farmland for individuals.

Capacity Building
What is the objective of your farmer’s capacity building?
Capacity building of farmers is essential to ensure the success of Africa’s food security initiative. To achieve this, skills in agricultural and agribusiness development remain basic to increase productivity, profitability, and competitiveness in Africa’s economic and rural agricultural development.

How is the training done?
The training is done by channeling information and knowledge through our trainers by using a mix of training methods, from individual short-term and long-term courses to group training opportunities using classroom training, on-the-job mentoring, seminars, e-learning and peer-to-peer support.

What is the cost of training?
Agro4you training cost ₦50,000 for the period of 6 months.

I am not in Oyo state, how do I go about it?
The e-learning system is opened to everyone within Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.

Is the training at Agro4you for learned farmers alone?
Training at Agro4you is opened to both learned and illiterate farmers.

Is there a dress code?
We do not have a dress code for training, but most people prefer business casual.

Will I be able to follow along with the trainer?
Yes, every student who comes will be emailed the materials prior to the start of class to follow along with the presentation and demonstrations.

Should I bring my laptop to training?
Laptops are not compulsory but your writing materials are.

Can I get a refund if I can’t make it to the transferred training date?
After completing your registration, we cannot offer a refund even if it is two weeks prior to the training date. You could send a colleague in your place at no cost, or contact our customer service for further information.

Will I receive a certification after completing this course?
You will receive a certificate from Agro4you for completing the course.

Discount for students?
Agro4you offers discount vouchers for students. If you are a student and you want to know more, please feel free to contact us, we will be happy to provide you with all the details.

Hire Services
Are customers responsible for the machine during the hire?
The customers are responsible for any damage or theft of the machined during the hire. If you are individual hiring from Agro4you, please ensure you have appropriate insurance and keep the machines in a safe place.

How do you charge for the length of hire?
If you hire the machine for a speculated time, you will be charged for that time frame unless you off-hire. Our machines have a tracking system so we are able to see how many hours they are working.

Are there any other fees when hiring?
Sharpening fees and breakage service may apply.

Will someone show me how to operate the machines?
Our engineers will happily show you the basics of the machine when they are delivered. Please do not use the machines if you have no experience on how to operate them.

Do I need to be on the site to receive the machines?
Please discuss with the office before the delivery is done.

How do I pay for the hire? Is there a deposit?
The cost of hire depends on the equipment hired and the duration of the hire. We take a deposit and you have to balance up before the hire is finished.

What happens if I damage the machine?
Please let us know immediately any damage is done to the machine so we can arrange repairs immediately. There is a charge for the repair which will be calculated at the end of the hire.

How big a tractor should I buy?
As small as you can get by with. The smaller the rating, the less fuel consumption, emissions, and storage requirements you will have. Your choice of a tractor depends on the capacity of your farm. You can contact our customer service to guide you on which tractor to hire.

What can I do to help my equipment last longer?
On the website, there are several simple maintenance tips that, when followed, will greatly increase the life expectancy of your investment which can be applicable to new or used, light or heavy duty, small, medium or large equipment. While nothing will make machinery last forever, developing the habits as well as specific manufacturers’ maintenance recommendations will guarantee that your tractor and related equipment will last as long as it can.

We have been exporting our products for quite a while in Nigeria and other sub-Saharan African countries.

What are the products you export?
Specifically, we export the following products from the Sub-Saharan African region:
  • Cereals crops- examples are: maize, millet, rice, guinea corn, wheat, barley, oat etc.
  • Legumes- e.g. cowpea, groundnut, beans, soya beans etc.
  • Root and tuber crop- e.g. yam, sweet potatoes, carrot, cassava, cocoyam etc.
  • Vegetable crops- e.g. waterleaf, bitter leaf, fluted pumpkin, lettuce, tomato, okra, garden egg etc.
  • Fruit crops- e.g. banana, orange, pineapple, pawpaw, mango, guava etc.
  • Beverage crops- e.g. cocoa, coffee, tea, kolanut etc.
  • Spices- e.g. onion, pepper, ginger, garlic etc.
  • Oil crops- e.g. oil palm, groundnut, sun flower, melon, coconut, cotton etc.

How can I get an international buyer for my goods?

What do I do if I get into commercial dispute with my international client?
Often there is little that we can do to assist in these situations. You are advised to engage the services of a legal practitioner before and after transaction.
